It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Metro Atlanta. Or at least it will be in coming weeks as the community lights up with the magic of the season.
From lawn displays featuring everything from Santas and snowmen to odes to the Griswold family Christmas, ‘tis the season for all things festive. In the spirit of the holidays, here are some local favorite spots to enjoy holiday lights nearby.
Traditions, trees and lights at Atlantic Station
There is something for everyone to enjoy throughout Atlantic Station this time of year. More than 250,000 lights light up the area, which you can explore on foot as opposed to driving through.
The free event features a stunning 50-foot Christmas Tree and the chance to experience a realistic snowfall every night of the week, weather permitting. In addition to ice skating, shopping and dinner options abound, including the Atlanta Christkindl Market.
Enjoy Garden Lights, Holiday Nights
Ready, set, glow with family, friends or your sweetie at the Atlanta Botanical Garden “Garden Lights, Holiday Lights” event.
The Garden’s eighth annual electrical extravaganza, as it is coined on the web site, shines nightly through January 6, 2019. Tickets start at $14.95 and prices vary by date and time, but discounts are available for members.
The model trains will be chugging, the marshmallows will be toasting, and there will be new features to check out this year as well. New music and motion will bring life into last year’s “Nature’s Wonders” display, and this year brings the debut of the Skylights Lounge and the Skylife Garden.
Celebrate the Season at The Battery
New to the area this year is the spectacular Holiday Light Show, presented by Georgia Lottery. Starting December 1 and running through Christmas Day, “guests will experience an immersive sound and light display throughout the Plaza each evening at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m.
The free event is particularly close to home for residents of The Reserve at the Ballpark, a luxury apartment community that features studio, one, two and three bedroom apartment homes.
From the picturesque city views to all of the convenience of big-city living, The Reserve at the Ballpark is a beautiful place to call home.
