There’s really nothing quite like it. When it comes to family traditions, July 4th runs a close second behind Christmas for most people. Rightly so, as we join together with friends and family to celebrate the anniversary of our beloved country’s independence.
The menu might be different. The guest list and locale might vary from one group to another. Yet on this day, on July 4th, we set aside our differences and celebrate how blessed we really and truly are to be Americans.
Opportunities to do so with the community of Wauwatosa abound, particularly with the fireworks and one of the largest Independence Day parades in the state.
Here’s what you need to know about the 2017 July 4th festivities in Metro Atlanta:
Traditions abound at Centennial Olympic Park and SunTrust Park, as both illuminate the sky with fireworks displays on the Fourth of July.
There will be food and family fun at Centennial Olympic Park, leading up to the fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. And just around the corner from The Reserve at the Ballpark, root on the Braves and enjoy the show!
There are plenty of festivities going on throughout the day in the area as well, including the Peachtree Road Race. The 10 kilometer route runs from Peachtree Road at Lenox Square Mall to Piedmont Park and regularly draws more than 150,000 people to cheer on more than 60,000 participants.
