With the success of the Atlanta Braves this season comes the excitement of fall baseball. If you have not been to SunTrust Park yet it is a must see. Fun for all ages at this ballpark and a lot of excitement to be had. Come and see what the hype of this incredible stadium is all about.
Welcome to the Ballpark
SunTrust Park opened in April of 2017, offering seating for 41,500 people and more than 11,000 on-site parking spots and a lot of parking options nearby. The Major League Baseball Allstar Game will be played at SunTrust Park in 2021 right here in Atlanta.
Food for Everyone
In right field is the 3 level Coors Light Chop House which includes a restaurant, 2 party decks and 1 large group area that is bound to be fun. There is a gluten free concession stand at the Centerfield Market, and other gluten free options are available at concession stands throughout the stadium.
Many traditional baseball food items are served along with options from Wine Bar, Wahlburgers, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and more. Fans who purchase a seat in the Coca-Cola Corner will receive a complimentary 20 ounce Coke to enjoy during the game.
Fun for All
In left center field is the Home Depot Clubhouse, a unique feature to this stadium, which offers premium suites and looks like a treehouse. Behind the left field grandstands is Hope & Will’s Sandlot, which is the kidzone.
The Sandlot is open for kids 14 and under to enjoy ziplining, games, rock climbing and more. After every Sunday home game kids ages 4-14 can go on the field and run the bases just like the players do. If you are trying to catch a foul ball but forgot your glove, don’t worry there are numerous Mizuno kiosks where glove rentals are available.
Following Friday night home games make sure you stay and check out the awesome fireworks display. Sunscreen stations are also available just in case you forgot yours, safety is a number one concern.
When designing the stadium they made sure to include the history that got them this far.
There is a Hank Aaron statue on the lower level of the stadium that you can’t miss. Life size bobbleheads of the amazing Braves legends who have retired are found throughout the park. Some of the bobbleheads you will see are Chipper Jones, Bobby Cox, John Smoltz, Hank Aaron, Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Eddie Matthews, Warren Spahn, Dale Murphy and Phil Niekro. So much history was poured into this ballpark it is a sight just in itself.
The Braves made it an affordable event with most tickets under $25 a seat so fun can be had and not break the bank. So pack up your family, grab your friends, bring a date and head to the ballpark right here in Atlanta for a great time.
