In a community that tells its story vibrantly, it makes sense that a groundbreaking digital tool would pave the way for the future.
Launched last fall by the Metro Alanta Chamber (MAC), the ATL Brand Box is designed for anyone interested in telling the region’s story. The digital toolkit provides messaging options, photos, neighborhood information and other resources aimed to arm the region with a unified and compelling narrative as it ramps up to host Super Bowl LIII in 2019.
“Great storytelling is at the heart of strong economic development, and the official launch of the ATL Brand Box is truly a milestone for our region,” said Hala Moddelmog, MAC’s president and CEO. “Thorough research and collaboration have led to this tool that will help all of us share a consistent, compelling narrative whether you’re an economic developer recruiting new companies, a human resources director recruiting new talent or a marketer building a new ad campaign that showcases Atlanta.”
MAC combined comprehensive research with input from organizations across metro Atlanta’s 29-county region and Brookings Institution to develop the online toolkit.
The web site features photos, videos, quotes, and overall facts about the area, all with “one shared ambition” to “never stop rising.”
“In order to help the world understand what sets us apart, we’ve developed a narrative and message framework that you’re free to use when talking about ATL,” the web site reads. “We also maintain an up-to-date and searchable database of facts and rankings about our region.”
The photos are beautiful, the videos are inspiring, and the stories shared in the quotes section unite the region in an incredibly powerful and moving way.
“Atlanta means business,” says Claire Sterk, president of Emory University. “And it also means brains. Our research and academic community stands head and shoulders above the competition…Atlanta’s an international city. For us, diversity isn’t a slogan, it’s real. You will not find a more creative, more inclusive, or more vibrant international home than you will find here in Atlanta.”
“Atlanta is truly a city where young professionals can come and make their mark,” adds Fred Roselli, Senior Director, Strategic Alignment, Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
